In Romans 16 Paul commends Phoebe for being a servant of the Church and a patron of the gospel. At Immanuel, we long to see women who are theologically equipped to serve the Lord in similar ways. The Phoebe Track is a discipleship intensive for any woman of Immanuel who wants to grow in her understanding of God, His Word, and His Church. We know and affirm that both men and women are made in the Image of God and are vital members of the body of Christ. The aim of this track is to help women in particular to grow in knowledge, to flourish in the gifting God has given them, and to become better students, teachers, and counselors for the good of the Church, and for the glory of God.

The classes offered will include:
Biblical Interpretation/Hermeneutics (Learn to read and teach the Bible.)
Theology 1 (Study the major doctrines of the Faith.)
Theology 2 (Study the major doctrines of the Faith.)
Imago Dei as Woman (Learn what it means to be a woman made in the image of God and how that affects the way we live at home, in the church, and in the workplace.)
Practical Discipleship (Learn what discipleship is, why it’s important, and how to do it.)

The classes offered will be accessible for women of all ages and backgrounds. They will typically require participants to complete reading assignments, memorize Scripture, and attend each class. The courses will follow a general structure of lecture, assigned reading discussion, and text-based discussion. In order to be as accessible as possible, classes will be offered in a semester-type format with participants meeting bi-weekly on Sunday nights for a total of 8 meetings each semester. These classes will be offered each Spring and Fall semester, while breaking for summer and winter. The cost is free, but participants are responsible to purchase their own books for the class.
